There’s nothing more exciting than bringing a brand to life with content marketing and material. A good brand is always evolving, so I help organisations create memorable campaigns, collateral and experiences. I’m also an avid copywriter and love writing delightful copy that inspires loyalty and action.
When writing copy, I define the tone of voice upfront to to reliably craft suitable copy and messaging. A good tone incorporates personality from the brand’s strategy, reflecting organisation culture and tailored for the intended audience. My approach involves creating intuitive rules and guidelines around how to talk to customers by translating the brand’s personality traits into principles.
I then take this tone of voice and craft taglines (a captivating expression of the needs and wants a product), marketing messages (usually the benefits your customer will receive from purchasing your product) and product messages (in-app communication to encourage, educate or congratulate a user).
I regularly collaborate with my network of photographers, illustrators, animators, compositors and motion designers to produce beautiful brand collateral that communicates messages in a visually interesting way. I’m a big fan of motion design and have worked on everything from product explainer videos to animated illustrations, 3D models, compositing and rendering.
While it’s not my forte, I’ve also worked in print advertising over traditional and insitu mediums, working with specialist printers to create high-quality, tangible brand collateral, like flyers, banners, swag, notebooks and lots more.
When I write an advertisement, I don’t want you to tell me that you find it ‘creative.’ I want you to find it so interesting that you buy the product.
